OLD BIRD,

I just had mine changed for the first time at 4400 miles and I was about 1/2 quart down. It is not unusual for a new engine to use some oil until everything is broken in. I noticed the same thing on my '96, '98 and '00 Mustangs (all 4.6L).

I don't think I have you listed in my database, please see my thread "VINs/Dates/Destinations".

Returned from our Florida trip on Friday and just catching up on the news today. I changed my oil at 1300 miles just before the trip, and now have about 4500 miles on it. Oil setting at the full mark, and looks like just changed. Am planning on changing the oil again, adding gas stabilizer, and cleaning the car this week. Will probably allow the dealer to place in his showroom for a few weeks (roped off of course).
