My 1966 Barn Find

Just found this in a barn. Sitting since 2008. I'm looking forward to cleaning her up and getting it back on the road.

As you wake it up, do understand that there LOTS of vacuum operated controls. Automatic parking brake release, door lock-unlock ( on dash) etcetera.

Yeh baby...my first car was a '66 Bird that I bought back in '71 - it was like a new car to me - drove it ALL OVER the country coast-to-coast...wish I still had it.
But, incidentally, as Critterpainer mentioned, there are LOTS of vacuum operated controls. In fact the door locks never worked from Day-1...
but that didn't stop us - in all our travels we had 4 boxes of 8-track tapes in the back seat w/o the doors locked, and no one ever robbed us of them!

I got the 66 running today. It actually runs pretty good. Transmission works. Net big thing is going through the brake system.

I just finished redoing brakes on my 63. I added double pot master cylinder because when I had a leak I lost all the brakes
