Just found this in a barn. Sitting since 2008. I'm looking forward to cleaning her up and getting it back on the road.

As you wake it up, do understand that there LOTS of vacuum operated controls. Automatic parking brake release, door lock-unlock ( on dash) etcetera.
 
Yeh baby...my first car was a '66 Bird that I bought back in '71 - it was like a new car to me - drove it ALL OVER the country coast-to-coast...wish I still had it.
But, incidentally, as Critterpainer mentioned, there are LOTS of vacuum operated controls. In fact the door locks never worked from Day-1...
but that didn't stop us - in all our travels we had 4 boxes of 8-track tapes in the back seat w/o the doors locked, and no one ever robbed us of them!

Car now stops. Knocked the first layer of dirt off of it, still a few more layers.

I am looking for the piece of trim that goes under the headlights on the drivers side. If anyone has one for sale I would be imterested.
