In the mid to late sixties a lot of kids bought older cars, and one of the first things they did was put a set of custom wheels on them. By the mid 60's original T-Birds were available at a price some teenagers with good jobs could afford. And some of them put custom wheels on them. What would up dated versions of those period wheels look like on the up dated bird?

If you didn't have the best paying job or had an expensive girl friend or other hobby you bought two "mag" wheels and put them on the front. Then you bought a set of chrome reverse steel wheels or you went to the junk yard and found a wider wheel, a set of chrome trim rings and a baby moon like hub cap This style modeled some of the dragsters of the day. Any body else remember seeing something similar.
