Thunderbird Year
1957
Hello everyone my name is Ed and a little about myself. I have always gone as 805Moparkid on all my forums so it sticks. I am a diehard Mopar guy (yea one of them) and have owned/own only ma mopar. Currently I have a 65 Plymouth Belvedere II I am converting into an AWB car, she is my first car but not my last. I used to build/restore Hemi Super Stockers under Greg Fernald and SS/AFX. My favorite part of the build is engine and chassis but I learned a fine touch for the paint and body.

Now about the part you guys like! I have inherited a 1957 Tbird, 312 w/ 4160 Holley, manual three speed w/ OD. She started life baby blue with two tone blue interior. She was my dad’s first car when he turned 16. He bought the car from a guy who was restoring it ?71-72? But decided to sell. I am still compiling information as to what he did and where it came from. I do know he bought her somewhere in the valley. He transported and stored her thru his military service, moving up and down the state of California and even made it thru a divorce with my mother. She never once sat outside. I can remember my dad showing me this finned glory for the first time, in a tiny storage facility, waiting her turn. It’s a project that even after his entire life he could not complete. Sadly he passed away this last year. Luckily my mom and my wife were understanding of what this car means to me. I again disturbed her and towed to to Phx where we live. From what dad told me all the parts except the gas door and town and country radio (sister got mad and threw it away years ago) are missing.

I am signing up with you guys to lend a hand as well as pry into your knowledge. It will be a slow project but step one is to simply get it running, moving, and stopping.

I just got notification of your message, along with another message about a 79MS radio for sale. The radio message is in the "members only" side. Why someone would try and sell a radio, then post it where nobody can read it, is beyond me, but this is indeed the correct model for your car. Maybe a "member" can help?

I appreciate it!
