The rotation number isn't what I need, that is just a sequence number to tell the assemblers which car to make next. The rotation number is usually on the left fender abouve the VIN. Mine was too faint to be readable.

For the build date I need the 17 digit VIN and for the "1 of how many" I just need a description of the car. Year, color body, color top, interior, and whether its a Deluxe or Premium.

....Hi Quickdraw.....My friend's 'Bird is a Canadian spec. Black/Black Hardtop/ Red full Accent(Premium)....VIN#1FAHP60A72Y127140 😀

Does it have traction control? If not, it is counted as a Deluxe in the database I draw from. Why do you say it is a Premium?

If it does not have traction control its one of 209, if it does have TC its one of 1,046. Sorry, I can't check build date until I get back to work on the 19th.

.....thanks, Quickdraw......Yes it does have T/C.....as I think all the Canadian market cars did yes/no?.....it's a premium because of the full accent interior....as opposed to the delux all black.....yes/no?....and neither the delux or premium could be had with the chrome wheels and fog lights....... 😀

I had to check with Dot, the authority on this, but the difference between the Deluxe and Premium in Canada was the addition of the hard top. All Canadian Birds had the traction control and the engine block heater standard. So yes your friends car with a hardtop is a Premium (called Popular in Canada). The Canadain Deluxe (no hardtop) was available with full color interior, but you could not order a US version of the deluxe with full color.

.....Hi Quickdraw......I'm guessing you are back.....can't post or reply on the other site...due to firewall, as I don't own my own computer...so can you finish the info on the other VIN I gave you, when you can.....thanks in advance, for this.....Cheers!..... 😀

OK, Thanks, I'll check it for you Monday....

......thanks....Quickdraw.....got your information. Much appreciated. As an aside....are you able to get any feedback on how the line integration went with the T-Bird and LS?....any problems? any quality problems as a result?...I wonder how big the T-Bird batches are?...... 😀

The Tbirds aren't made in batches... they almost always have a Lincoln in front and behind each one going down the same line. On average about every 9th car is a Tbird with Town cars and Lincoln LS's in between. The integration never was much of an issue... they merged the lines in February with no noteable problem. The Lincoln volume was down and they needed to make room for the new GTs so moving the Birds to the LS line was a natural.

....Hi Quickdraw.....Iwent to source the info. you sent me on the Black 'Bird described on this thread....and I can't find it.... 😕 would it be a problem to ask again....I'm sure you sent it on this thread...or I'm losing it! 😕 ...Cheers, Martin

Are you looking for build date or "how many made like that"? I can't find the build date but I can look it up again Monday... the "One Of" info is up a few messages on this tread.
