Hello,
I just picked up a 2003 with 17k miles. It is "Dark Metallic Gray" with a black interior and Black Ink accents.
The dealer did a Carfax check so I know when it was built and delivered.
I was trying to follow the discussion on the hard top rear seal. I have not had the top off yet to look at the area being discussed.
I stopped by my local Ford dealer and spoke with the Parts Maven. He didn't have a clue. He did pull up the page out of the IPC which doesn't help.
The breakdown shows two seals and one trim(?) set. The seals are p/n 513C24 and 50416. He quoted one at 100 bucks and the other at 200 bucks.
Seems to be pretty sporty pricing for a simple seal. The trim set (?) is p/n 517B34A,B and C.
So I plan to buy the Prostripe molding and will try that alternative.
Sealing of the top is critical to us folks here in Bellevue (Seattle) due to the abundance of rain in the Pacific Northwest.
Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Quickdraw,
Thanks for the information. I'll check back with the Ford dealer and let you know what happens.

Putt: FYI, I had the prostripe on for one year and it did very well. I did one continuous strip about 9'.
In the fall I didn't want to compress that gasket too much so put on the QAA stainless steel mirror finish strips on. I also put a dab of matching caulk on the two sides of the center panel so water will not enter there.
I have heard of some say the QAA scratched. If so, the prostripe would scratch more since it's plastic
I haven't had my top off yet, >2000 miles, but if it is scratched I'll use the Ford mylar strips over it in the winter.

Sophia:
Time for the QAA stainless strips or the Prostripe. It really makes a nice finish line around the body and good protection 😀
