That big black round thing between your firewall and the brake master cylinder is your brake booster. If yours needs to be rebuilt a lot of guys have been happy with http://boosterdeweyexchange.com/ which I believe many Tbird suppliers would send out the rebuilds to them instead of doing them in house.I know...total noob question. First, all 1964 TBirds came with power brakes as standard equipment. How you tell (from your picture) is the large black circular thing that the Master Cylinder/Brake Cylinder is mounted to. It is a vacuum container (that receives vacuum from the engine intake manifold) that provides the “power”. Technically, they are vacuum assisted brakes.I know...total noob question.
