Just got my Bird back today, 2nd time in 7 days that it wouldn't start. I purposely caused the battery to go dead this time. I didn't want to be stranded. This was a controlled strand so-to-speak.

Before your waranty expires, take this simple test. Turn on the rear window defrost, then turn off the key. It is supposed to go off automatically (my light went off). It is my understanding that if it is defective, it can come on by itself when the car is turned off. Let your car sit overnight or longer, then try to start it.

I did this, and as expected, it wouldn't start. I think mine sat in the garage about 19 hours. It was towed to the dealer this time, they replaced a part costing $372.92. This didn't include labor so check it out before your waranty runs out.

On the invoice it lists
Cause: 1000 check oasis, Recharge battery per TSB 02-4-5 R&R Dual Auto temp Control Module per TSC 03-15-9 Auto R no start 23 W94 0.00
1 3W6Z*19980* AC Control ASY-A/C (ATC) $372.92
