Hello,

I noticed a label on the jack in my t-bird that says before jacking up
the vehicle turn off the Air Suspension System if equipped.

I looked through an owners manual and maintenance manual and I
can't find anything that tells me if the t-bird is equipped with an
Air Suspension System.

It's a 2002 Model. Can anyone tell me if the 2002 T-Birds have this
type of suspension?

If they have Air Suspension how would you turn it off?

Thanks,
T.J.

That's a new one on me. Got a picture of the label?

Picture of Jack Label

George,

I just had a chance to get back into the forum.
I'll take a picture of the label and post it later tonight.

I'm suspecting that Ford probably put the label on the jack as
a generic move. They probably used that same jack for a lot of
different vehicles. I know the Lincolns use to have that Air Suspension
System.

It will be around 8 PM or so before I can post the picture tonight but
maybe you could give me some ideas. I just want to make sure that
I don't screw something up if I jack the vehicle up to change the
oil. I don't see a switch on the dash or anywhere else to turn off a
Air Suspension System so I don't think it pertains to this vehicle.

Thanks,
T.J.

George: Like you said, the Lincolns had the air suspension system. I had a 94 Mark VIII and it had it and when you had to jack it up to switch wheels around, there was a switch in the trunk like a light switch and you flipped it off so the suspension system wouldn't ativate while the car was jacked up. I don't think your Bird is equipped with that. I have a 2005 and I am positive it doesn't have it. Take care. Charlie
