The inside of the switch might be old and dry inside. Spray it up with a little bit of
WD-40 and work the switch back and forth numerous times and see if that helps. Just a slight spray don't douse it in
WD-40. I kept searching
on Ebay a cpl years ago to find the switches for my 67. They are individual switches on each door and on the console. Look at the pins on the back of the switch off the Galaxie to see if the pins are the same as yours. Should be like 6 pins on the back of it. That's what mine has. Check out these different sites for
