I am in the process of putting on a nice show quality paint job on my bird.
I have an issue with the trunk hinges scrapping paint off the brackets as they rub together when opens and closes
Does anyone else have this and is there anything that can be done to keep the paint looking nice?

Happens all the time. I do not have a cure for it. I would love to hear of one however.

A guy on Ebay who sells NOS Ford parts always states that Ford was not building show cars.

Attached is an article that I read years ago. I don't remember where I got the article, and since My Thunderbird doesn't have this problem I have never tried this solution. Let us know if this corrects you problem.
