2005 Pre-purchase, are parts available?

Currently thinking about buying a 2002-2005 T-Bird for seasonal daily driver. A little concerned about the availability of parts, particularly engine parts, should repairs be needed.

Am I being overly paranoid about something breaking and bricking my investment?

Engine parts are generally available. The engines are reliable with some occasional issues due to age with cooling components and Ford's Coils on Spark plugs.

1- A car like this is not an investment.
2- Yes, getting parts can be an issue, especially body parts which are non-existent.

They only made about 68k of them, so aftermarket suppliers are not interested in making a lot of the parts. A taillight can run you 750.00+ on ebay- https://forums.fordthunderbirdforum...a-left-5w6z13405a-taillight-tail-light.11162/

I bought my 2003 in 2015 and its a fun car but quality is poor. I feel sorry for people who paid $40000 + for them.
