The driver seat manual lumbar is adjusted by a knob, which is mounted on the front side of the seat cushion. If when you turn the adjustment knob there isn't any support change, you will have to check the lumbar control body, the lumbar adjustment mechanism and the lumbar cable. To do this you will have to remove the lumbar control components.
Start by removing the lumbar control knob. To do this turn the lumbar control knob counterclockwise until it stops. Then remove the lumbar control knob by pulling it from the adjuster shaft.
Next you must remove the lumbar control body. Access is from the inside of the seat cushion pan. The two locking tabs on the lumbar control body are different in size. Rotate the lumbar control body to align the locking tabs with the correct size cutout. Remove the lumbar control.
Now you must release the manual lumbar adjustment screw. To do this the lumbar adjuster must be turned counterclockwise to the stop. From inside the lumbar adjustment mechanism, push the screw stop in toward the center. While pushing the screw stop toward the center, rotate the lumbar adjustment mechanism counterclockwise. The screw stop will pass clear of the internal stop, releasing the manual lumbar adjustment screw.
Next, remove the manual lumbar cable. To do this continue turning the manual lumbar mechanism counterclockwise until the cable support comes out. Then push the screw out enough to remove the cable end. Note the lumbar cable routing before disassembly. Route the lumbar cable from between the seat cushion and the seat track. Loosen the seat track to seat cushion pan bolts, if necessary.
