2004 Chrome windshield moulding replacement

Can the Chrome Windshield Moulding be replaced with the hard top on the car or does it have to be removed.

The hardtop must be removed to replace the chrome windshield moulding. I think you will find a tutorial on this site if you search it out. I replaced mine a few years ago; it’s not terribly complicated.

Am new to the group. Trying to find a forum about replacing the windshield chrome header molding. What comes off inside to get access to the molding retainers? Thanks
