I think i will have to take the car to a Ford dealer for that. We are a very small town and dont have much access to one of those. Is there a scanner that is less than 500 dollars that would do the job? If so, I would purchase one, because im sure this won't be the last time I need it.
Thanks for the reply!

Blue driver reads them all. It's on sale right now too!

I purchased the BlueDriver, and it came quickly from Amazon. Just scanned the car and it found 18 codes. The most redundant is, B1676 Battery Voltage out of Range. And another related is U1262 (SCP) Data link fault.
Recommendations are replacing the ECM , PCM wiring harness, replace ABS wiring harness, or replacing the ABS module.
You can have more than one issue. How old is your battery? It may need replaced. Test it.

All the Bold text words are links you can click for that part. Also, suggest reading older posts and using the search page.

A lot of people have had to send ABS module in to rebuild it.

@doug7740 has posted on this topic a lot.

Those recommendations are after you have completed all of the diagnostics for the fault code and no problem was found. Before you start replacing control modules and wiring harnesses, and since I do not know what the other 16 fault codes were, after checking the condition of the battery I would clear all of the fault codes from all of the control modules. After doing that drive the car and see if your problems have been corrected or what fault codes return.

Its a brand new battery, and it even had it checked again. Thank you for your direction, I plan to check the wiring from the battery first, and follow through the next steps. Maybe i will get lucky.

When you stated that you plan to check the wiring from the battery first and follow through the next steps tells me that you have pinpoint test B for fault code B1676. If you need pinpoint test B let me know.

I plan to make sure all connections are tight, well grounded, no corrosion or shorts from a to b.
Its over my head to understand "pinpoint test b". Is that a test I can run with my scanner? Sorry, not a mechanic, but am a low voltage contractor, so I know wiring, just not car modules. Can you expand?

You will need a digital volt ohm meter to perform pinpoint test B.

B1, has you checking for the correct battery voltage with the engine off and running.
B2, has you checking for the correct voltage at the ABS module.
B3, has you checking for the correct resistance at the grounds of the ABS module.

I was able to complete all of these steps, and everything on the list passed. I have tried to use the BlueDriver to clear the codes, but they never clear the dash lights and are there on an immediate scan after clearing them. Since all these steps passed, what would be a next step?

You said that you had 18 codes stored in the different control modules in the car. Just so I understand correctly, you tried to clear the codes and all 18 returned. I have never had all codes return, some of the unrelated codes had to clear. Since all the codes returned, it seems like you are not clearing the codes correctly. When I use BlueDriver to clear the memory from the different control modules, I clear each module separately instead of using the clear all feature. If only some of the codes returned, what are the codes?

As per pinpoint test B for fault code B1676, if all of the steps passed the next step would be to replace the ABS control module. Before you do that, make sure you are clearing the control modules memory correctly and let me know what faults return.
