Mechanic said the hoses had deteriorated and busted. I haven't found any online articles related to this issue, could be the engine heat? I would expect others to have had the same issue. Will update when the TBird gets fixed.

The issue is called aging. The car was probably built almost 20 years ago, two decades. As we know, nothing is built to last 50 years anymore.

2003 TBird Update: The part has been at the repair shop for 2-1/2 weeks and not been repaired. They told my mechanic it will get done soon. Warm weather is getting my wife's itching to cruise with the top down going full steam. So, I jumped in and got the part number from mechanic and started searching online for the part. Part info: A/C Refrigerant Liquid Hose - 2003-2005 Ford Thunderbird 3.9L V8 - Motorcraft Part: YF-2888. I found it on eBay with the correct part number/picture. Sent my mechanic part info, he looked at it, and told me that's the correct part. Wife is happy knowing when she'll get back the car. If anyone has an issue with this part you now have the correct info to find one. (Picture below) Happy Motoring!!
