Hi folks
Anyone know why the heater/ac fan will not shutoff while the car is running? It takes about a minute to shut off after I turn the key off to shutdown the engine.
Thanks for your help! Dwight

Sad news Dwight ...my 2003 has the same problem.... the fan speed resistor module is buried deep in the dashboard. I had the repair quoted from a Ford dealership... $1200.00

You can buy one for $30.00 up to $65.00. All you have to do is unplug the old one and plug new one in. Support the new one and you are good to go unless you have $1,200 to spend. This is what I did works great now.

I'm confused. Are you speaking of the engine cooling fan or the fan operated from inside the car? Well, cooling fan is supposed to run after engine is shut down.
The interior fan which controls the heater & AC...I don't know.

The fan for heater and A/C in dash is what I was referring too.
