2003 A/C Evaporator Freon Leak

I'm told by my mechanic my txv valve needs replacing on my 2003 Thunderbird he say's it's a big job and say's roll down the windows he's worked on this car since I got it brand new it only has 46,000 miles looks brand new. The low side pressure is high and the high side is low. I did htg.& ac for 45 years I'm retired. I'm not interested in tackling this . What should I look out for when getting quotes? I live in Philadelphia pa. Thanks for your time and help.
 
It doesn't list the price of the expansion valve, but ALLDATA lists 8.1 hours labor to replace the valve, and that doesn't include refrigerent recovery and recharge.
