2002 temp sensor

anyone ever replace a head temp sensor, mine all of the sudden shows hot, even though the motor is not, and then it goes back to normal

I have not. However, try a Lincoln dealer parts dept to see if available and cost. Our drive trains are the same as Lincoln LS cars. 😎 Or go to the auction sites. Some have the oxygen temp sensors for TBirds. Although I do not know what that is compared to what you need.
BTW is 1954 for DOB or HS grad?
