Looking for some guidance on removal/replacement of radiator on my 2002 bird. It has the hydraulic cooling fan but my intention is to keep it since it's replacement just doesn't seem practical at 220k miles. I have most of everything disconnected but can't seem to bring the radiator up and out. Does the fan have to be removed? Any help/suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Your title "2002 Retro Ford Thunderbird radiator removal" has been revised. We are an all Ford Thunderbird site, so you do not need to include the make & model of your car in your subject.

If you are going do perform this kind of work on your car, you need a service manual. You can easily purchase one on eBay.
