I have just replaced the dashboard in the 2002 T-Bird. It was, and still is a major project. Now that the new dashboard is completely assembled, back in the car and reconnected to all electricals, there is no response at the ignition switch. The lights are on and are not responsive to the switch, the alarm system activates every time a door is opened. There is no signal from the OBDII, so there is no way to diagnose any problem. As a note, proper mechanical procedure was followed, even to the point of using the correct air bag simulator tools. It seems as if a system reboot or ignition key reprogram may be the solution, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any experience with this.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

When you say dashboard are you talking about the instrument (gauge) cluster?

I removed the entire dashboard, refitted it with a new shell and reinstalled that. That required the removal and reinstallation of the instrument cluster.

Did you rule out the PATS (Perimeter Anti Theft System)
