2002 hydraulic cooling fan pump makes typewriter clicking sound on a cold start and fades as heats up. Any other 2002 experience with this issue & how did you address it? Thanks

I would have it checked out, you may be mis-hearing the sound, an exhaust leak or dry valve train can make a similar sound....
Either will sound worse cold and gradually fade/stop as the car warms up...

What did you finally identify as the cause of the clicking? I am curious to know as I suffer valve lifter clicking on my 2002. Thanks.
