Hello! I am currently trying to remove the hood from my 2002 thunderbird, but having some trouble finding info on how. I was wondering if anyone had an explanation or tutorial on it? I’ve noticed some things different about the hood that have made it hard to find a tutorial on how to do it.
Thank you!

There are two screws on the windshield frame in holes that tighten the front down or loosen to remove. This requires a starlike head driver came with car but I imagine you can find one that fits in a multi head kit. Once those are loosened there are two levers on the chassis behind the seats that you move to release the back. Then it should lift off. Lifting is definitely a two person job. I put in an electric winch makes life easy. Good luck

Do yourself a favor and put a double layer of 3M blue painters around the fender lips while removing the hood; it'll save you grief if there is an inadvertent touch during the removal.
