1. Tilt the
steering column to the lowest position and telescope (extend) the
steering column to the farthest position.
2. Remove the instrument panel cluster finish panel.
3. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
4. Remove the screws and remove the
steering column covers.

5. Remove the bolts and remove the hood latch release handle.

6. Remove the pin-type retainers and remove the instrument panel
steering column cover.

7. Remove the screw and remove the floor heat duct.
8. Remove the bolts and remove the
steering column reinforcement.
9. Loosen, but do not remove, the
steering column nuts.
10. Remove the screws and remove the
instrument cluster.
11. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
To avoid damaging the
instrument cluster lens, place a protective cloth over the upper
steering column before removing the
instrument cluster.
