2002 Center Console Removal

New to your group, not new to cars. Hahaha

So the short version we co-own the bird with our 89yo father.
He stores his cars in a garage that might as well be a barn (lots of entry points).
Ive removed the vermin once before.
Well now we have a high ressitance air bag code.
Normally i would go straight for the clock spring however since this car has become an airbnb for mice, I am erradicating the vermin first.
I will need to due a wire by wire search for the open circuit.

Can someone tell me how to remove the center console before I have an old timers brain fart and break something?

Go to 2002 dash panel removal. The instructions I received will get you started.

1. Apply the parking brake.

2. Place the transmission selector lever in neutral.

3. Release the lower instrument panel finish panel.

4. Release the console finish panel assembly by pulling upward from the front first.

5. Release the parking brake boot from the console base.

6. Remove the console assembly front screws.

7. Remove the console assembly rear screws.
8. Remove the console assembly by sliding rearward.
