I'm replacing the original radio/CD changer for another original radio/CD changer (2002 Thunderbird). Does anyone know if it's got an anti theft code, and if so how to find it for a used radio?
Picked up my 2002 Tbird in Oct last year with CD errors and six CDs stuck in the player. Visited a local pick-a-part salvage yard. Pulled a unit from a 2005 Mustang with the same three electrical connections on the bottom rear. No anti theft codes. With YouTube videos and precision screwdrivers and torx head tips I cleared both blowing compressed air for dust and debris, and reglued the white worm gear on one. Both units work. Its time consuming, but not brain surgery. $15 for the second spare unit.

I sincerely doubt any codes are used back then for a peripheral item, now there are other parts on these cars that require dealer reprograming and security procedures....like the instrument cluster, etc..
