2002 A/C Compressor removal

Has anyone ever chapel at Top right bolt on the AC compressor? Any trick to get that off? Ford doesn’t give you plenty room to work do they? Can’t find a trend on the form that someone has tackled the replacement of the AC compressor.. I would appreciate any information. Thank you.

I took my T-Bird to a repair shop. They charged me just over $800 to replace the compressor.

My A/C compressor is fine, I’m just trying to get to the power steering pump which is the problem. That one bolt at the top on the right on the compressor is the headache! I’m trying to save $800+ and tackle the job myself. I guess if no one can help me with a trick or a suggestion, I’ll just have to keep at it.

It has been three or four years since I replaced my AC compressor, so do not remember that much. I do recall two bolts came out with
no problem, the other two bolts had to come out still in the frame of the compressor until I could turn the compressor some to slide
them out.
