1972 Thunderbird grille question

Hi. I have a '72 T-Bird than needs a new grille. Having a real problem finding one.

If I can never find one, I'd grudgingly use a '73 grille. Do you know if the '73 grille will fit dimensionally in the grille area of a '72? I know that it will need a different support because it's a different configuration, and that it wont cover the grille area below the bumper...I understand all of that. Just want to know if it's the same dimensions and shape as the grille area above the bumper. This is my first T-bird! Thanks. - Jim
