What size after market wheel and tire can I run on my 67 , all stock. I can find 17 and 18 wheels and tire sets (used) cheaper than a good set of hubcaps. Also what about the offset

I've got a 69 I was wondering the same thing about. Did you ever figure anything out? I'm tryin ng to put as wide a tire as possible. Not as worried about additional height.

I put Riddler wheels on 17x8, 0 offset with 4.5 backspace. 225/60/17 tires, looks great.

I just went through the trial and error of finding what works. Any wheel you use will need to be 0 offset otherwise it hits the front upper control arms.
There are plenty of 0 offset wheels out there but I'm cheap and got a great deal on 30mm offset wheels. 1" spacers still slightly rubbed front control arms and found that 1.25" (makes the wheel roughly -2mm offset) was just perfect for the front.

Overall setup:
18x9, 30mm offset, 70.5 hub bore, deep dish Bullitt wheels from a new edge Mustang.
1.25"wheel spacers with 70.5 hub bore
Goodyear eagle RSA 245/55/18 all around (closely matches factory diameter). If I end up lowering the front of the car I will need smaller front tires. But for now the fit is fine.
I'm Into this setup for about $650.
