Hi,

When I turn the key to start the engine of my 66 I hear a click then there is no power at all anymore.
I have to disconnect and reconnect the battery to restore the power.
I assume it is the ignition starter switch. Am I correct?
Thanks
Alain

Most likely you need to clean your battery connections.

Sounds like the starter switch to me. Common problem. You can get the starter switch at any auto parts store. You can use your old key and key tumblers. The key switch only handles 9 volts. Be careful what accessories you add. Use Relays.
