The vacuum advance is bad and plumbed with a solid metal pipe not a rubber hose. The ignition is the optional transistorized. First of all I can find no replacement vacuum advance modules with pipe fittings only vacuum hose lines. How is the distributor to be timed when it is not flexible it is held rigid with a metal pipe?

i think its flexible enough to move the distributor a few degree advance or retard. if you have to move it more then you are off a notch on your distributor placement. cars came with metal advance lines with a "loop" in them. you can use rubber hose without a problem.
