Unless you plan to go racing, I don't think you'll notice an appreciable difference in braking/w rear discs; I didn't when I installed rear discs on my 1988 Mustang 5.0. However, I do recommend that you install the best front discs available that your car will accommodate. Keep in mind that 80% of your braking is on the front (unless you regularly drive in reverse).
