My power windows go up about 2 inches and stop. If you lift and move the glass to the rear it will continue all the way up. Both windows do the same thing. Any idea what the problem is before I start taking it apart?

I'm afraid you will have to open it up and take a look. My suspicion is that you may have a broken roller. It's not a tough job but time consuming. I had to replace my passenger side window glass and went ahead and refurbished the whole scissor system. Zipps up and down now.

Here is a tip. If you have to replace the front post glass run, get your rivets from Concours Parts. Their rivets are aluminum which works much better than the stainless ones. Th stainless rivets do not fold over well when setting them because they are too hard.

Funny thing is when I replaced mine several years ago I just snaped them in with no rivets and no issues so far.

Had the same problem after replacing many parts for the windows to include both front and rear vertical guides, this included new cushion material in each guide. After sitting a few months the windows would not go all the way up, the glass was hanging up on the cushion material on both windows. Sprayed a little WD-40 on the guides, now they fly all the way up up and down, it's beautiful. This was done only to the back guide (door lock side).

I have never known the guides to be so tight. Glad you got them going and will relax over time.
My windows were slow and needed assistance when cold. Just refurbished my driver's window mechanism. The rollers weren't rolling and when I pulled the whole thing the spring was also broken and the gearbox full of hard grease. Zips up and down now.
