I have a 1957 E Model Tbird does not have the original teapots.
Will it run fine with carburetors ECZ9510-1161A & ECZ9510-1162A

Thanks Mike

This is a tough question. To me much depends on your transmission. Automatics don't handle the extra carburation in my opinion. As to your question, the carbs you have specified are two different types of carburetors, even though they function somewhat the same way. I would seek out another 1162A if you are bent on doing the 2x4 change. As the original carb linkage runs both carbs at the same time, using different functioning carbs will cause nightmares in timing the carbs. Also, be careful who does the rebuilding as they are called "firepots" for a reason. Also, your non-original teapots are not ventura reduced. Your 1161A and 1162A types are about 400 cfm each while the originals are about 370 cfm each. If you are wanting safe dependable transportation you might consider using a Holley 650 double pumper with electric choke. That will upgrade the vehicle performance considerably. Hope this helps in gathering information to make the right decision.
