The steering box in my 56 needs repair. I can get my hands on a rebuilt 57 box. Is there any problems with a swap like this? I assume the mounting is the same and the column/box connection is the same. How about the steering arm? Any differences here? Splines, splines location? Will the 56 arm fit correctly on the 57 box? Anything else I may be missing?

Early 1955, photo 27, used a two tooth steering box and can be identified by a shallow cover. Later 1955 through 1957, photo 26, used a three tooth steering box which can be identified by deep top cover.
