1956 sending unit proper ohm value

It looks like there are 2 fuel sending units for the baby birds. 1 is 10-100 ohm (for 6v??) and 1 is 33.5-240 ohm (12v??). Does that sound right?
I read some talk about the 33.5-240 ohm was f I r a replacement Guage not oe. Does that sound right
