Hey there,

I have a 1955 Thunderbird someone else removed all of the wiring on. I've ordered a new harness for under the dash, new junction blocks, a reproduction wiring diagram, and have most of the wires worked out. (I've got the ignition switch, cluster, and headlight switch done). But there are some wires I'm having trouble tracking down. Can you send me as many pictures as possible of your under dash wiring? As well as the connectors running to the circuit breakers under the dash?

Any pictures you can send that are clear would be super helpful.

Thanks

Hi there, I have a 55 T bird that I’m having trouble getting the dash lights to work. If someone has a wiring diagram that they will share, please let me know. Thanks, cwrev

This is one of the reasons I don't use this thread much. I asked a specific question and even stated I already have a wiring diagram, specifically the Ford diagram. The diagram isn't good enough to break down a few smaller areas I'm having trouble with. This is the area I am asking for pictures about. It shouldn't be hard to ask for a few pictures from fellow Thunderbird enthusiasts without being made to feel inferior or dumb.
Try a reprint from the original FORD manual for the "1957 Thunderbird Electrical Assembly Manual". It is 53 pages long and covers every model and accessory. https://ebay.us/daMSxP

Well yes you can buy a wiring diagram, I did, but not all color codes or colors on the old harness match. You still have to figure some stuff out. So there I am doing the same thing right now!

Is the reproduction harness color coded? I may be able to assist...will need to see what photos I may have taken when I replaced all the wiring in my '55. I had the entire dash pulled and rewired it with properly color-coded wire. I suspect that may be part of the problem if the harness has new "generic" color wiring. I'll try to find photos to help you out.

Here is a example of information that is incorrect. This is what comes with the harness crossover wire (141155)

Hello BB, I couldn't resist the challenge. I used a mirror to take these pixels of wiring in my '55 that was installed in 1986-87. There's also newer wiring for a couple of useless gadgets I'm going to remove. I hope you're not as confused by these photos as I would be if someone had sent them to me.
