Recently purchased a 55 Thunderbird (6volt positive ground), generator). Previous owners had installed a 3 pack Sunpro gauge set (oil/temp/ammeter). Oil and temp work great. Ammeter not so much. It was wired to the 40 amp circuit breaker on the firewall by the start solenoid. Shot a few wires and found the breaker was in a failed open state. Sounds like a rattle. Replaced circuit breaker with a good checkout. Ammeter still is no good.
Gauge benched check good.

Looking for the appropriate ammeter tie in points and lessons learned to get the last gauge up and running.
thanks in advance.

Check out some of the vintage motorcycle web sites. They used 6 systems up to 1965. You may find something there that could work for you
