I've been a fan of the Thunderbird for a number of years. I've owned Mustangs and other Ford products, but never a Thunderbird. I am thinking about purchasing a 2004 Thunderbird. I want to use it as a daily driver. I know the car has traction control, but I'm not sure how the car will handle while driving in winter conditions. Has anyone with a 2002-2004 Thunderbird experienced driving in winter conditions? How does the car handle? Are you using snow rated tires in the winter. I'd appreciate any feedback I can get.

Mike:
I do not drive mine in the winter however, I know someone in PA who drives his '02 year round with no problems at all. I do not know what kind of tires hes driving on though. Trust your tire dealer....the car will do the rest. 😀

Hello Mike......I have an '02 as a daily driver....and we have plenty of winter up here in the Great White North.....the 'Bird handles just fine with the standard rubber.....When the weather gets really miserable I'll add a couple of bags of water softener salt in the trunk......I drove a Mustang GT before the 'Bird and it's not hard to tell, the 'Bird is a better balanced car......and it's got a great heater!....... 😀
