Since removing it a few months ago and running only with the soft top, I'm getting a whistle from the passenger side. Where the soft top is resting just below the chrome on the driver's side, it's ever-so-slightly above the chrome on the passenger side. Only noticeable if you're looking for it. When I'm driving, I can pull down on the top and the whistling stops.

I searched quite a bit for any threads on adjustments but came up wanting. It seems like if the pivot arm shown above could be tightened a skosh it might make a difference by pulling the top down a little tighter, but I'm not seeing any adjustment there.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I have a related question. With my hardtop installed I have no noise problems. Hey Tom, the above J hook only comes into play with the Soft Top up , it is what latches it down to the windshield frame. It sounds like you need to tighten the bolt a little more on the hard top when it is on. However, mine has that same whistle sometimes. 😉

Thanks for the suggestion, but it's the soft top I'm having trouble with. I probably could have described it more clearly.

When the hard top is on there's no noise problem. But the hard top has been off for two months, so I'm getting the whistling noise from the soft top. If there was a way to tighten the "J hook" a little it would probably pull the soft top down a little tighter against the windshield.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to reduce or eliminate the whistling sound?
