Wondering which timing chain set most of you are using? Is there any difference in quality of available units? I've seen them from $99-$500.
Thanks

There's not much out there ........ Some sets do not supply the gears. If your going to replace the chain you need the gears. Good Luck!

This kit has most of the parts. You still need 2 more gears and the gasket sets .........

Thanks. That's pretty cheap. Have you actually used this kit? Just want to make sure it's a quality product. Don't mins pending a bit more if there is any question about quality.

I recently did a timing chain on a 2002 4 cam 5.4L. The parts were mixed. OEM parts are just not available. The kit shown above is certainly an "off" brand. I did a search and there is very little available. I also have a running account with Ford Parts ...... Again, Nothing Available. You will need to research and call Manufacturers to see if they will help. In fact I called a manufacturer a few weeks ago out of desperation on a part they discontinued. They agreed to build one for me. The price was reasonable so I pulled the trigger.

Thanks. Looking at different sources, at least the pictures look the same for all the parts. Likely means all of these may be coming from the same source. Just want to make sure I don't end up getting some substandard part that, after all the work, causes issues.
