Tires for 1981 box-bird

Discussion in '1967 - 1988 Ford Thunderbird' started by sgc2c, Feb 26, 2016.

  1. I understand P185/75R14 is the stock size.
    What's a known-good plus-zero size?
    Does anyone use P195/70R14?
    Or a P205?

If you go much wider than 185 are you going to
have trouble fitting the stock rims?
Will the tire hit the suspension or well on wide turns?
    Thanks in advance.

  2. I meant "tires" not "tired" in the Subject.
Who could get tired of an '81 5.0??
