Saw where they produced over 7000 02 blue's and under
1800 03's blue. This was surprising since I think the 03
blue is much more fitting to the retro theme than the metallic
02 which we have. If trade-in was better would have
traded when stopped and saw the 03.

What a difference the two blues had on market appeal.

When I ordered my 02 before the 18 month 'W A I T ' I wanted a blue and thought it would be more like the 03 blue leaning toward turquise. I was suprised it was as metallic. I would have thought the 02 would get the retro blue.
Just a comment.

We didn't not know 100% what the car color was till
we picked it up. The dealership and salesmans didn't
have a clue. But they did not feel it was to be metallic
since colors were suppose to be reflective of 55-56.
I tried to locate a blue in our area but none of the
dealers had one or if one came the owner picked it
up so fast couldn't get in to view it.

It was a surprise when opened the door and you see
the seats and dash one shade of blue, shifter and
steering another and the exterior another shade.
The yellow interior and exterior all seems similar so
thought the blue would be too. Than we were basically
buying a car site unseen, just from press releases and
word of mouth from Ford.
