Months ago, I found the announcment for the T-bird cruise-in at Carlisle for June 6 at 6pm. I live near Baltimore and could make it in two hours. Being a new owner of a 2002 'bird, I could not wait to participate in this event.

I left work a little early. I picked up my girlfriend and off we were to Carlisle. This is none time that we did not get lost. I proudly pulled into Family Ford's lot with the top down. I looked around for all the T-birds. Nothing. Not one.

I went into the showroom to ask about the event. The guy looked at me as though I were crazy (maybe so). He said they had one last year. I said I found the announcement on the Web in the Thunderbird Forum. He said they did not post it.

Sure enough. When I checked it today, it was for the 2007 event. Two lessons here:
  1. Always check the year of an event, not just the month and day.
  2. Whoever posts announcments should also remove them.
With gas at $4.00 plus, I can't afford to be dumb.

I am a webmaster at my workplace, and everyone wants items posted. Seldom do these same people tell me to take the announcement down when it is no longer needed. I guess the same thing happened here.
