I think what we are dealing with here is martking. As the Bird's sales have slowed down, Ford may be using the already planned discontinuence (we knew it was a 3 or 4 year run from the start of production in 2001) as a ploy to spur sales. First we all bought them because they were a new design and now maybe people will buy them because they realize the current modle will be ending. I feel the fewer made the better for us. I don't want a car that you see every time you turn a corner, (like BMWs or Benzes). People like to kick a guy when they think he is on the way down. We should use the old Packard line " Ask the man (or woman) who owns one". This is one great car, for looks and fun factor. So to all the nay sayers, We'll still have fun, fun,fun even after Ford takes the T-Bird away, and they can make up as many excuses as they want that they don't have one, but they don't know what they are missing.
