SST & Downshifting

Recently, while in select shift mode (5th gear), I punched the gas and noticed what appeared to be a downshift. Being curious, I tried this again with the same results; just after the "automatic downshift", I selected 4th gear and got another downshift. The indicator showed 4th gear only after I selected 4th gear.

I was just curious about what was actually happening. This is not necessarily a negative; with good timing (around 45 to 50 mph), I can really make my bird move. 😉

Mine does the same thing! I think that the dash display just indicates what position the shifter is in. A lot of the new cars with floor shifters have a display showing where the shifter is.

By the why nice choice in colors.

Forgot to mention that mine is a Premimum also.

I also have a set of Cragar 230 SS's on the way for mine. Updated version of the Classic Cragar SS. Updated Classic Wheel for a Updated Classic Car. Am going to pack factory wheels in the Boxes the Cragar's come in, add moisture absorbing materials and store in the attic.

Part of the reason is that my wife drives the car from time to time, and if there are alloy wheels on the car, and there is a curb within five miles of where she is driving she will biff the rims. 😉

Red-Black Interior

Thanks ... Everybody I talked to thinks that the Red & Black interior puts the "exclamation point" on the car. I like about everything there is on the car but the interior is what does it for me! 🙂
