So how do I get the blade off the arm? It seems like its crimped on the arm. Do I have to pry off the blade assembly from the arm? Any help would be much appreciated.

If it's like mine, lift the arm up, and you should see a little piece of metal with two screws in it. If your lucky, the metal will slide over and lock the arm in the raised position. Then you can just lift the arm off the motor stub.

Sorry, you meant the blade (just reread). They're should be a little release tang on the bottom of the blade by the arm. Push it up, and the blade should release.
