Remote Key

My remote key worked one minute and then it is dead. We changed the battery but it is still not working. Any ideas or is it just worn out?

I had the same problem about 6 months ago. Changed the battery and it still did not work. My solution was to go to ebay and purchase one there -- it was fairly cheap, about $8.00 or so I think.

Hold it a second! You mean I can open up anyone else's T-Bird with my remote control device? Something is fishy here.

Just checked, there is one on sale on ebay for $17.49.

And, I just remembered that you have to go through this weird programming deal with the ignition key in order to program the key fob for your vehicle, so forget my previous post about being able to open up the doors on anyone's T-Bird.
