Dennis;
Not enough data here. How do you know it's broken? It doesn't work?? Or you actually see a disconnected/broken wire?
I don't know what year car it is and what dealer you are going to but if an '02, there was an issue with the rear window defroster. We had to be sure that it was turned off when you shut down the car or it would drain the battery. If I recall there was a recall on that.
A dealer can check their OASIS system to see just what work was done on the car. Assuming that you bought it used - Maybe that one slipped and did not get fixed.

If I had an issue like that and no one could help; I would go to a glass repair/replacement shop.
Since they have to attach the wires, if the window gets replaced, they probably can make one up.
I'm sure the service guys break a connection every now and then.
OR, ask them if you replace the window would it have that wire. If they say yes, then maybe they can call their supplier and get a wire and install it for you.

Dennis: You posted an issue on 11-17. We always try to help but very often NEVER get feedback................... Maybe it's not worth helping any more😕😕😕😕
